This poor turtle was trying to cross the road towards a swamp on a 35+ day and it was being dive bombed by a magpie with a bad attitude. I considered his options for as long as it took to take his picture: magpie’s lunch, squashed by a bus full of tourists (there was one coming) or human intervention?
Human intervention won. I moved him to higher ground in the swamp (under cover of some bushes), the tourists went on their merry way and the magpie went off in a huff.
Saw lots of other critters, some of which would've probably eaten me, and the cutest little tawny frogmouth.
No, I haven't forgotten about the serial killer... Come to think of it, that tawny frogmouth is looking a bit intense, eh?
