Powerscourt Estate, Ireland
It being the height of summer an' all...it was a whole 28C and it was roasters!! So we went off to Wicklow for the afternoon to enjoy that warmth and sunshine and ended up at Powerscourt Estate in Enniskerry.
The house was originally a 13th century castle and she’s had a bit of work since then. The gardens are quite fancy, especially the Italian Garden with its life sized winged horses that watch over Triton Lake. Elsewhere is a Walled Garden, a Pet Cemetery, a Japanese Garden, loads of statues and the Sugarloaf mountain in the distance.
