Over the weekend I attended an architectural photography workshop with Nic Granleese (www.nicgranleese.com), photographing the RMIT Design Hub in Melbourne.
We kicked off on Saturday morning with some theory about photography, the sun, weather, angles, where to find good coffee, what to do with images once captured and had a healthy debate about whether or not it's worth getting out of bed early for pre dawn photography (it is). After a spot of lunch at a local pub (where I opted for salad and everyone else had a burger and then promptly wanted to go to sleep), we headed over to RMIT to get some practice in.
The 6am start on the Sunday wasn't so bad - daylight savings ended early Sunday morning so I got an extra hour in bed anyway. The weather turned nasty in the afternoon though. A thunderstorm brought plenty of rain and left me hiding out until it passed.
